Our Mission

ElectroSpec Training brings world class IPC training and certification to the electronics industry, coupled with a newfound flexibility and efficiency for the modern workforce at the lowest price.  Our Master IPC Trainers (MITs) provide superior training opportunities for students to become a Certified IPC Specialist (CIS), Certified IPC Trainer (CIT), or Certified Standards Expert (CSE).  All training material is anchored on IPC standards, developed and approved by industry, and delivered via an online setting giving students the flexibility to take the training whenever, where ever, and at whatever pace they desire.  Contrast this paradigm with other training and certification companies that mandate specific course schedules and times, which often may be at conflict with personal and work-related schedules, at an increased price.  ElectroSpec Training aims to be the most efficient, flexible, and value conscious IPC training and certification company in the world.

Our Instructors

Keith A. Peterson, Ph.D.

Keith A. Peterson, Ph.D. has 30+ years in design, manufacturing, testing, quality, safety, and mission assurance of mechanical, material, and electronic Aerospace and Defense Systems. He earned both a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineer’s Degree from Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology with minors in Physics and Material Science and Engineering. He is registered as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering in the States of California and Florida. He obtained certification as a Master IPC Trainer (MIT) in multiple IPC courses, as well as an Advanced Certified Interconnect Designer (CID+). He is a certified iNARTE Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Aerospace and Defense Engineer.

Matthew Thomas

Matthew Thomas has 15+ years experience in the analysis, design, engineering, manufacturing, test and evaluation, mission assurance, and quality assurance of Aerospace and Defense Systems.  He earned a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Naval Postgraduate School, Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn University, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Auburn University.  He is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Reliability Engineering program at the University of Maryland-College Park.  He obtained certification as a Master IPC Trainer (MIT) in multiple IPC courses.  He is a certified iNARTE Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Aerospace and Defense Engineer.
